• Avoid midday travel in summer (April–June) when temperatures exceed 42°C in Indore/Ujjain plains
• Drink only packaged water — River water and roadside nimbu-pani can cause stomach infections in young children
• Temple crowd management — Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar can be intensely crowded; carry child in front-facing baby carrier so they don't get separated
• Narmada ghat safety — Keep toddlers in arms near all river ghats; steps are steep and water currents strong
• Wildlife areas (Kanha/Pachmarhi) — Children under 5 are not permitted in open jeep safaris in some zones; check specific park rules
• Altitude acclimatization — Pachmarhi (1,067m) and Amarkantak (1,048m) may cause mild breathlessness in very young infants initially; rest on arrival

• Oct–Feb (Winter): Layer up — days are pleasant (22–28°C) but nights can be cold (8–12°C). Carry a light jacket especially for Pachmarhi, Amarkantak

• Carry temple-appropriate clothing — most MP temples require covered shoulders and legs
• Socks — Some temple premises are very hot underfoot in summer; wear socks

• Neutral/earthy colors only — avoid bright reds, whites; animals are sensitive to color contrast
